Welcome to WASPAN
The Wireless Application Service Providers’ Association of Nigeria (WASPAN) was launched on 26 August 2007 in Lagos, Nigeria with member companies being the licenced VAS providers by the Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC).
WASPAN served as the unified voiced of VAS licencees and as the industry grew, it has in its most recent rendition come to embrace licensed VAS aggregators.
It represents the interests of WASPAN’s members and helps moderate adherence to rules and best practices in the provision of mobile applications and services in Nigeria.
WASPAN has a detailed Code of Conduct which all members of the association adhere to, and a well established formal complaints process.
WASPAN employs full time staff to monitor the services provided by its members and to handle complaints about digital services lodged by members of the public.

WASPAN developed a Code of conduct for its members, and also enforces this code to ensure business is conducted in an ethical manner, maximising consumer confidence in WASP services.

WASPAN runs a consumer complaints desk, ensuring that all users of WASP services have a single point where they can raise concerns and resolve complaints.
